Lauren N. Harrison, Assistant Professor
I am an assistant professor at Colorado State University who seeks to study the physical processes, chronology, and composition of Earth’s volcanoes, use long-lived mantle plumes to study Earth’s chemical composition, identify and mitigate volcanic impacts and hazards, and to develop scientific expertise and transfer knowledge to the next generation of geoscientists and the general public.
My research interests are very broad and include geochemistry, geology, petrology, geochronology, hydrothermal systems, climate change, past glaciations, and volcanic hazards.
